“In a surprisingly short amount of time, Sari helped me identify what was holding me back, clarify my vision, and - most importantly - own it. I felt so empowered! ” - KR

“Sari is all about daring you to ask (and answer) the questions you didn’t know you should be asking. With kindness, compassion, and gentle humor, she will guide you through your challenges, cheer your victories, great or small, and turn your defeats into educational experiences.” -EM

WHO IS SARI_-logo.png

The one person you feel strangely drawn to in a room full of people.

The woman who will tell it like it is, call you out, cheer you on, and once in a while, say what no one else will.

I am the bold-living, enthusiastic champion of the greatest YOU that you can be. I will work with you to find your HELL YES and empower you to reach your fiercest goals.

I am also a purveyor of unlimited positivity, despite what often felt like a regular ol’ setback soup: I was once fired from my Dream Job. I was left at the altar. I’m a victim of domestic abuse, I’ve been homeless, and I raised two daughters to adulthood almost entirely on my own.

Want an example of what happens when you're knocked flat, miraculously come out alive, and begin rallying for the next match with a smirk that challenges life to bring it on?

HERE I AM.

Beyond any other truth, I maintain one absolute:

It's Not Fun If It's Not Fun.

Working with me means finding ease where difficulty once lived, breaking through fables that keep you from excellence, and believing in yourself with more conviction than you ever thought possible.

I am a coach who will instill courage and confidence, while demanding you have a damn good time doing it.

WHAT ELSE?

I have been leading and coaching teams as a high-star hospitality executive for 16 years. I love being in the hospitality world; even the word feels warm, kind, and generous.

So, how did I get into coaching in the first place?

In 2002, I received one-on-one coaching and leadership training directly from the late Stephen R. Covey, author of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective PeopleOver the course of six months of meet ups, Stephen helped me find my passion and pursue it relentlessly.

A few years later, I was in the same room with Seth Godin, expert marketer and connection-maker. In a short 20-minute conversation, he coached me right into action for a goal I had been sitting on for more than 5 years.

I had never realized you could make a career out of the gifts I’d received from these two gentlemen. After a series of shifts in my industry, I decided to see if there was any value to doing for others what Seth and Stephen did for me.

Although I’d been coaching for years, in 2014, I obtained my formal coaching certificate from the Co-Active Training Institute, the largest and oldest coach training school in the world.

I have been honored by the state of Utah as Hospitality Manager of the Year, and have twice received Best of State awards for luxury spas under my leadership. I live in my home town in Sonoma County, California.

I am also an active and passionate member of the LGBTQ+ community.  My clients identify in all ranges of the gender and sexuality spectrum.  I have volunteered and fund-raised in conjunction with AIDS/LifeCycle, Olivia Travel, GLAAD, The Trevor Project, and the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

I first came out of the closet in 1994; one year after Melissa Etheridge, and three years before Ellen DeGeneres.

(Oh, and... "Sari" rhymes with "Mary.")
